Guardian data (minors only): guardian name, email, and phone number
Activity data: volunteer hour logs, opportunity sign-ups, check-in/out timestamps, kudos sent and received, badges awarded
Usage data: login timestamps, timezone, browser type (collected automatically)

To connect you with volunteer opportunities

To communicate with you about your activity
To send notifications relevant to your participation

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users must be at least 13 years of age to register. For users between 13 and 17 years of age ("minors"), we apply additional safeguards:

We collect guardian contact information and may use it to reach a parent or guardian if necessary
We restrict the personal information (address, phone number, school) visible to organizations unless a minor has a confirmed sign-up with that organization
We do not sell or share minor data with third parties for marketing purposes
Organizations are notified when they are working with a minor volunteer

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

Organizations: name, email, and activity data relevant to your sign-ups
Service providers: hosting, email delivery (under confidentiality agreements)
Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect safety

5. Your Rights

Portability: download your data in a machine-readable format
Correction: update inaccurate information via your profile settings
Deletion: request account deletion — we will anonymize your activity records and permanently delete personal data within 30 days
